Anzac Centenary Assemblies
This year is the centenary of the Australian contribution to the 1918 battles on the Western Front and also the centenary of the end of World War 1. In 1918, Australians fought in some of the most horrific battles of World War 1, at Villers- Bretonneux Hamel and Mont St Quentin. Anzac Day is not only about remembering this part of our military history. It is also remembering the sacrifices of all the people in war and acknowledging the sadness and pity of human conflict.
Lurnea High School will be commemorating Anzac Day Thursday 3rd May 2018. We will be holding two assemblies on the day and also a morning tea and afternoon tea for parents/ carers who would like to join us.
